Melbourne Cup Calcutta 2011

  • Raffle tickets for Calcutta on sale at reception for $2 each.
  • The Calcutta raffle will be drawn at 7pm on Sunday 31st of October with the auction starting immediately after.
  • Calcutta Prize money will consist of all raffle ticket proceeds and 50% of monies raised at the auction ( 50% auction proceeds goes to the raffle winner unless the owner is highest bidder then owner only pays 50% of the final bid).
  • The prize breakdown is as follows:
    1st: 45% of prize pool
    2nd: 25% of prize pool
    3rd: 15% of prize pool
    Last: 15% of prize pool
  • If a raffle winner is not present at the time of the auction they will receive 50% of what their horse was sold for at auction.
MELBOURNE CUP CALCUTTA TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • The raffle draw and auction will be conducted by officials approved by Cardiff RSL.
  • The prize pool will consist of the proceeds of all raffle ticket sales and proceeds from the auction.
  • To determine ownership, a horse will be drawn first then a raffle ticket drawn next.
  • The person whose ticket is drawn then “owns” this horse.
  • The “owner” of the horse will either receive 50% of what the horse is auctioned for or if the “owner” of the horse would like to keep the horse they must have the highest bid and then will only pay 50% of that final bid.
  • The prize money will be allocated as follows: 1st receives 45%, 2nd receives 25%, 3rd receives 15% and last place receives 15% of the prize pool.
  • Winners will be determined by the official placings as declared by TAB.
  • If there are any scratchings after the auction is finalised there will be no refunds on raffle tickets or auction sales.
  • No correspondence will be entered into.
